You Rather

You Rather is a free decision making app that can be downloaded from the App Store. It requires you to make a choice on what you would rather do if you had to pick between two options. The question is, would you rather download it, or not? Find out now!

Would you rather…

Its no surprise we get to see age old games reinvented for mobile devices these days, as almost everything is recycled. One of the most brilliant past times that got us through long drives through a countryside, or on a bus journey to the airport was the easy to pick up game of would you rather, where a friend would ask a question ‘would you rather’ with two answers, one of which you would say you would rather happen or do. Now that games back, and it is as popular as ever.

Firstly I will note, we picked up the free version, however, the only difference that the paid version brings is that for £0.69 it turns the app into “an ad-free experience” So personally we did not see the difference great enough to purchase a full version, as its pretty much identical.

The apps posts up questions for you to answer (with results that can be submitted to your in app account). They cleverly range from such things as would you rather:

* Be a mermaid or a centaur?
* Only date people with severe OCD or chain smokers?
* Know what really happened at Area 51 or receive £1 Million?

Its an addicting experience, after answering a question, it tells you the percentage of other people who have answered the question the same as you compared to the opposite answers data. You can then favourite the question and come back to it at a later date – if you hold an account that is.

And that’s not the only  account dependent feature as-well. You can leave your own comments and favourite other people’s on the different questions if you own an account, so what’s with all this account dependency? Well it seems like the apps developers are really trying to build a thriving community, and they have done very well so far! It truly is competing with the worlds best social media sites!

So are there any negatives? Well unfortunately, yes. One complaint I do have though is how buggy it is. I currently cannot get on to the app because the question and the options do not load. Also, I sometimes have to refresh the app because it stops, making me unable to tap any options. And the look of the app feels bland compared to other new apps, which have picked up on the iOS7 theme trend that many apps have nowadays.

Still, I recommend you joining the community now, as these issues will surly be addressed, and you will want to be a part of this crowd before its to late!
