But now things are different, Life has taken a different direction. Not sure If I was ready for it, but somehow things haven’t been my way.. And because of this, Blogging suffered and boy ‘o’ boy it suffered big time. No more excuses, DailyApps will survive and to date it remains my most prized possession.

So starting today, I am doing a Take Two of DailyApps. Complete with a fresh new design thanks to the awesome work by vfxdude. Along with the theme refresh I’ve added Disqus Comments which will now allow you to comment on blog posts more easily and make conversation threads more interesting.

Starting today, there will be a huge influx of new posts, and you will very soon have my Reviews on Windows7, Snow Leopard, Ubuntu Karmic Koala etc. Oh yeah the very popular Hack Attack Series will also continue.

And there will be some awesome giveaways this holiday season as I well, because I missed the 2nd Birthday of DailyApps in July this year.. Looks like an exciting year of blogging ahead.. I am up for the challenge, and I am definitely gonna hope that the goals that I outlined for 2009 are achieved. I know it is impossible now, but you never say anything is impossible do you?

I have become a lot more busier at college, after becoming the Vice President of the department which has added a whole new range of activities I am supposed to be doing.. Added to that, I have also been selected by Microsoft to become a Microsoft Student Partner on campus, wherein am expected to conduct technical sessions and other seminars on a regular basis.

Combine these two responsibilities with the bigger and more important responsibility that is of a student, things are kind of messed up for me at the moment.. The past month has gone completely in preparations for a major event in college, and am tired and exhausted while I leave for Goa today to attend a training program of sorts to be organized by Microsoft.

Once I come back, its a hectic week after that.. I am not making excuses here.. I just want to keep you guys in the loop on what’s happening over at dailyApps. Also to an extent I have hit the writers block, and whenever I sit down to write something the words simply don’t come out..

I cannot say when exactly dailyApps will come alive again, because College has got a lot busier than it ever was.. For me and my family my education and studies remains the primary concern, so its only natural I feel that blogging will suffer.. But trust me, I don’t like all this either.. I miss blogging daily on dailyApps, I miss reading your friendly and useful comments and I can’t wait to get back on the ship.

Hopefully in the coming weeks everything should be sorted out, and things should be back to normal.. Till then if you have any suggestions for me on how to manage time effectively I am all ears..

After all I’m just 19 and I have never before carried so much of responsibilities.. I am determined to make things work, which means you will see new posts on a regular basis pretty soon, and dailyApps will be the same active blog it was before.

Well guys, exams are over my head now, and they start from tomorrow. You might have already noticed that posting was quite sporadic over the past few days. Well sadly it is going to be the state for the next ten days as well.

With eight back to back exams coming up, starting tomorrow I feel I’m royally doomed this time around. For those who are wondering what I do, am doing my engineering studies in India.

Screw the damn education system here, exams are such a torture. I’ll try posting something useful whenever possible, but I can’t make any assurances.

Hi Guys, I am moving this blog from Lunarpages to a VPS on Liquidweb. I am currently uploading the files and database onto the new server. So expect things to be quite rough for the next couple of days.

After doing that, the result was satisfactory enough and you can see the new Tag Cloud that runs on the Tag System of WordPress 2.3 Over at my Archives page. Well if you are planning to upgrade over to WordPress 2.3 anytime soon, then here are some tips that I would like to give, to make your updating process a lot more easier.

• Make a Full Backup of Everything, i.e. your WordPress Folder and the Complete Database.
• Store it in some secure location, so that you can revert back to the old version, in case anything goes wrong.
• Check out the Plugin Compatibility List, and see if the Plugins that are very important to your Blog are listed as compatible.

• Disable all the Active Plugins.
• Once you have done all that, Get the latest build of WP 2.3 and Replace all the existing files on your Server.
• Delete the Plugins that you don’t need.
• Upgrade the blog and see if everything is working fine. Get the Latest version of all the plugins you need beforehand so that you can save time, in getting the blog to run in perfect state.
• Activate all the plugins one by one, and check that nothing breaks.
• Once everything seems to be ok, backup your blog completely once again and keep it in a safe location.

If you are using any of these popular plugins, then I suggest you go through this, to see some of the fixes, new versions, mods etc.. of the plugin that you love.
