Google Apps Gets Presentations
Google Apps is now almost complete. Presentations that was launched earlier last month is now a part of the Google Apps for your Domain. I just got this email from the Google Apps team. I am quoting the email straightaway.
Presentations — all new! We’re pleased to announce that you can now create and share presentations with Google Docs — the application in Google Apps formerly known as Docs & Spreadsheets.
With this feature, you can create a new set of slides from scratch or import existing presentations and share and collaborate on them in real time. You can even drive a presentation remotely while colleagues or clients look on from their own computers.
Curious about how it all works? Check out this short video, Google Docs in Plain English. You can also take the Google Docs Tour.
While I personally don’t feel that Presentations is a viable alternative to Microsoft Powerpoint, but its addition to the Google Apps family makes things all the more interesting.
