Photosynth is currently supported as an addon for Mozilla Firefox and Internet explorer.Another requirement is a good graphic subsystem installed for all the graphic shine. So if you have an older graphic card on your pc like the Intel’s 8xx series then Photosynth will not work.The application is free to boot and has an inbuilt image gallery to view some cool stuff.

The Flickr team has launched photo editing tools via the previously announced partnership with Picnik. Picnik is one of the best online photo editors out there, and its partnership with Flickr means uber cool photo editing for Flickr Users.

I am not going tell you about how the Photo editing is done, because details are already on the Flickr blog. All you need to do is Click the “edit photo” button above any of your stored photos, and Flickr launches the Picnik editor without leaving the Flickr site. When you are done with the editing you can save the photo or, if you are a Flickr Pro user, replace the original. Now How much more simpler could photo editing be,

Well I was expecting something completely different to come up when Flickr said they are going to add Photo Editing. But this new feature, takes Flickr to greater heights in the Social Photo Sharing phenomenon. Good Job Flickr!

It allows you to assign folders which have images in it and then Syncs with the Flickr Server everytime a new photo is added to the folder. This makes sure every new image that you add to a folder gets added onto Flickr.

Here is a brief Rundown onto its features :

• Browse local folders and flickr sets and match your local folders to the corresponding flickr sets.
• Create new Sets when uploading new folders.
• Define flickr permissions for each folder and other synchronization options
• Preview all operations (including photo thumbnails) before applying them to flickr.
• Synchronize specific folders or all selected folders
• Synchronize all image information, including metadata like title and description, keywords/tags and even geo information.
• Use different synchronization methods according to your needs (ex: by date taken, by caption, by filename).

Because of the Fact that FlickrSync is extremely powerful it takes some time to get used to. But after that you surely will appreciate what it can do. FlickrSync requires .NET 3.0 for it work so make sure you have it installed.

Now you might be wondering how on earth is that thing possible. Traditionally recoloring was done by hand and it involved a lot of hardwork and time. But not anymore..

Recolored uses sophisticated algorithms to process digital images, but it needs some help to complete the process. Using brush strokes the user indicates which colors different objects in the image should have. The graphical user interface sports several tools and functions that helps the user draw strokes and select fitting colors in an efficient manner. When the user is done the software takes over and propagates the colors from the brush strokes into the rest of the image. Recolored uses the grayscale intensities from the original to accurately blend in colors, and it takes care to mix colors appropriately near object boundaries.
