Apple today sent out the invitations for WWDC 2008 the annual Developer Conference. As always Apple has come out with excellent promo material. The tagline reads “WWDC 2008 – A Landmark Event. In More Ways Than One“.

The invitation also included the picture above that’s two Golden Gate bridges converging or diverging depending on the way you look at it.. I’m not quite sure what the image and the tagline really means, but here are a few educated guesses :

The launch of the iPhone SDK (Pretty sure that this will happen).

Location aware features in the iPhone and OSX.

A release of an SDK for the Apple TV (I don’t think that this will happen)

3G iPhone

Release of a top secret Apple Product!

Other than this I’m not sure what will turn up for the WWDC 2008. Traditionally we don’t see new Macs during WWDC, but we might hear a little bit more about the successor to Leopard.

What do you guys think we will see in WWDC 2008 that begins on June 9th and goes on till the 13th.

/Me Licks fingers in Anticipation

With the last app VectorDesign being added to the bundle yesterday, the 14 app bundle worth over 500$ comes for just 50$. Now how cool is that? And not to mention about $300,000 has been generated for charity.

MacHeist’s John Casanta has confirmed that no additional apps will be added to the bundle, so if you’ve been holding out yourself on buying until the final bundle contents were announced, wait no longer. The bundle gets off sales in under 24 hours.. So Hurry up..

Well finally its decided! Mac OSX Leopard will indeed launch on October 26th as was predicted by a lot of people in the blogosphere. Well it will cost you a 129$ for a single user licence and 116$ for the student licence. And those of you who are looking to purchase Mac OSX Server Edition, then hang on because it releases on the same day i.e. 26th of October.

Well Leopard has been one of the most awaited Operating Systems of the year and its got over 300 new features compared to its predecessor that was Tiger. Well here are some of the major features that we will get to see in leopard.

Quick Look, a new feature that lets you see the contents of a file without opening said file

Stacks, a new way to access files from the Dock

Time Machine backup

Redesigned Finder that makes it easier to browse and share files between computers on your home network

Updated Mail designs

Improved parental controls

Boot Camp exits beta

Web Clip lets you save web content as Dashboard widgets

Honestly speaking, I believe that Leopard looks like it will be the most exciting release from Apple this year after the iPhone. See More about Leopard here.
