What Does A Combined Microsoft Yahoo Look Like?

Hot on the heels of the $44.6 Billion Offer made by Microsoft to Buy Yahoo, the web is going crazy with discussions on this. This deal if takes place, could well be the defining moment of Internet in 2008. This deal has large ramifications, beyond just about you and me can think of. I’m not entirely sure, if this deal makes sense for Microsoft. The only reason Microsoft seems to be running behind Yahoo is to beat Google in Search and Online Advertising. The Bid seems to be a good... Read The Rest →

Over Half a Million Private Myspace Photo's leaked

This is not good news for the News Corp owned Myspace.  Myspace has had its fair share of privacy concerns in the past. But this major leak puts all of them to shame. Over half a million photos have been leaked on BitTorrent, and the catch here is that all the leaked photos have been taken from private albums on Myspace. Well that just made just about everyone’s private moments for the whole world wide web to see. This sets a very bad precedent for Myspace, and I am sure... Read The Rest →

Hack Attack : Record Video on the iPhone

When the iPhone first came out, many people complained about the lack of Video recording capabilities in the iPhone. Many People including me thought it was pretty lame for Apple to release iPhone without the video editing features in it, because Apple touted the iPhone as a complete Multimedia device, and I haven’t really seen a Multimedia phone that comes without Video Recording. Heck even my Nokia 5300 does it pretty well.

Google Takes on Wikipedia with Knol

This is has to be the biggest announcement coming from Google at the end of this year. Google is planning to take on Wikipedia with their own project titled “Knol” which apparently stands for Units of Knowledge.. While the title doesn’t really say much about the project, but they are definitely trying to create a more accountable version of Wikipedia, that will be monetized and will also also feature in Google Search Results, giving Wikipedia a run for its money.

Google to Launch GDrive Soon

For how long has this rumor been going around in the blogosphere? Well atleast this time Wall Street Journal believes that Google is working to release a service rumored to be GDrive pretty soon. A Google spokeswoman declined to comment on specific online storage plans aside from “storage is an important component of making Web [applications] fit easily into consumers’ and business users’ lives.” I believe that GDrive is already existing in the form of the storage that we have in numerous Google services like GMail, Picasa, Blogger, Docs etc.... Zoho Leaps Ahead, While Others Lag Behind!

There exists a fundamental flaw in the way online Office Systems work, and that is the requirement of a Internet connection to use the online Office Suite. With the absence of Internet connection you just can’t create documents and edit, but that is all set to change with Zoho’s announcement of the addition of Offline Feature into Zoho Office Suite. To use Zoho Writer in offline mode, just install Google Gears and restart your web browser. Then login to your Zoho account and click the link at the top that... Read The Rest →
