Hotmail Users Get Extra Storage
Email storage seems to be the buzzword these days. First it was Yahoo giving unlimited Storage for its mail accounts and then it was google giving paid upgrades to extra storage on GMail, and this time around its Windows Live Hotmail Users who have been given a storage bump.
Microsoft made a series of announcements yesterday regarding updates to the Windows Live Hotmail service.Standard users now get 5GB of storage, while paid MSN Premium and Hotmail Plus accounts now get 10GB of storage. Now with all this i feel that my favourite GMail has been let down, because it still offers just about 3GB of storage. Come on guys over at google pull up your socks and give us that extra storage…
Responding to complaints from users and gripes in the blogosphere, Microsoft is also bringing back the option to choose to see one’s inbox, rather than a Today page of MSN News, upon login. Here are some of the upgrades to the Live Hotmail Service
- Performance : Improved Performance of Hotmail with improvements in speed and design issues.
- Mail retention changes : Option to keep your mail in Junk and Deleted Items for a longer time.
- Forwarding messages : This is funny. Free users can ow forward mail to other hotmail users while paid users can forward to any email account.
