Looks like the Pirates always manage to do the inevitable whatever the challenge may be. The most awaited game of the year GTA IV scheduled to be released on 29th of April has been already released on BitTorrent Networks almost a week before the official release date.

Scores of people have already downloaded and judging from the comments, it looks like this is the real deal. At the moment only the XBOX 360 version has been released, which means PS3 users might as well wait until 29th of April.

I’m not quite sure if this leaked version is a full featured version or just a demo, because the file is just about 7GB which is quite small. Youtube users have uploaded many videos of intro cinematic’s as well as videos of first few missions have been uploaded. But looks like Rockstar has been able to get Google remove the videos so that they don’t spoil the party.

Obviously the leaked version of GTA IV on torrents is illegal, and could potentially cause you some serious trouble with Microsoft, so it is safer and better if you wait a few more days and get a legal copy of the game, as everybody should – we have all been waiting for the game so long – one week will pass easily.

Also both the PAL and NTSC versions have been leaked. There are also rumors that Rockstar has asked retailers to sell the game before the official date sets in, considering the leak. Also the history seems to repeat itself in weird ways doesn’t it? Even San Andreas was leaked onto the Interwebs a week before the official release.

I won’t paste the links to the torrents, but you can easily find them on Mininova or Piratebay

This is not good news for the News Corp owned Myspace. Myspace has had its fair share of privacy concerns in the past. But this major leak puts all of them to shame. Over half a million photos have been leaked on BitTorrent, and the catch here is that all the leaked photos have been taken from private albums on Myspace.

Well that just made just about everyone’s private moments for the whole world wide web to see. This sets a very bad precedent for Myspace, and I am sure we’d be seeing some big legal battles on this.

The creator of the file says he used the Myspace Security hole that was revealed last week by Wired, and while he created this 17GB of a file, just to demonstrate that this could be done, and he believes that a lot more of others could be using it for more nefarious purposes.

The security hole was closed last week after the Wired report, but by then DMaul (the creator of this file) had run an automated script to run through over 44,000 private Myspace profiles and extract all the private pictures out of them. He has rolled these images over into a Zip archive and released it on the Piratebay, advertising the torrent with a tagline saying Pictures taken exclusively from Private Profiles.

Well I just popped onto Piratebay and as of now the torrent has 7 Seeders, with nearly 1000 people downloading the torrent. Here are a few comments from the torrent for you :

bygtyme69r : why did you zip 17GBS?? it will take weeks or months to DL

twdmaul : I had to zip it. nothing plays well with that many files. it was very difficult to handle. i will have additional seeds on monday. should take no longer than 5 days to get it fully spread.

TheKogut : Just be patient, kids. We’re all sitting on this thing, and soon enough it will get distributed.

This is a significant breach into Myspace, and the saddest thing is that News Corp hasn’t yet come up with an explanation on this one yet. I had this story running as a draft the whole day yesterday waiting for someone like Techcrunch or Mashable to pick up this, but sadly no one did.

Does this mean, that we blogger’s don’t care. I personally take this breach very seriously, and it shows that Internet however private place it claims to be, it just doesn’t cut it. What depresses me more, is that no major media outlet took this news out and gave it the fire it deserves.

Do we all grown ups really like outsiders looking at the private pictures of our Kids? Thats one question I would like to ask all of you.

And for obvious reasons, please don’t comment asking me where you could find the torrent. I won’t tell you where it is, because it isn’t meant to be shared. Come on guys, show some decency..

Via Wired

I have to say Apple has done a brilliant job so far to prevent the retail version of Leopard from leaking on BitTorrent this long, but unfortunately they couldn’t keep things tight any longer and now we have Leopard all over the BitTorrent planet. I for one don’t own a Mac so downloading Leopard doesn’t make much sense, but I know a lot of people who want to download the Retail version thru BitTorrent and I have received over a dozen mails from people asking me where I could download Leopard from.

Well guys Leopard is pretty cheap, and it sells much less than Windows Vista Ultimate does, so I suggest you hop onto Amazon and get yourself a legal copy. But if you still interested to try out Leopard before the whole world even though it is illegal then read on…

Well finding the torrent shouldn’t be hard for most of you, but here a few details that will help you find the right torrent..

Torrent Release Name : APPLE.MAC.OSX.LEOPARD.V10.5.ISO-OSX

Size : 6.56 GB

I am still contemplating whether to post the Torrent links or not, so finally I have decided to do it this time around, so there you go,

Leopard on Demonoid

Leopard on PirateBay

Reading the comments on both Demonoid and Piratebay I have every reason to believe that this is definitely the real Torrent. Go ahead and fire up your Torrent Client and start downloading.

Disclaimer : dailyApps does not encourage Piracy so please go and buy yourself a copy of Leopard legally rather than being a cheap dumbo..

Well the file sharers have done it again. The OEM version of Windows Home Server has been leaked on BitTorrent and is now available on all major Torrent search engines. Well I’m not going to point out the direct links to the torrent files here, but if you are really interested then you can search for the leaked version all by yourself. Trust me, its not that difficult.

Well all you need to do is search for Windows Home Server on any torrent search engine like Demonoid, Mininova, PirateBay etc.. and I am sure you will find the OEM release.

Well here are some screenshots of the Windows Home Server Setup :

Well here is more screenshots… I am sure Microsoft will be beating itself up as I write this..

Well that means Microsoft have got themselves in a really bad position with Windows Home Server. WHS (Windows Home Server) was the most awaited launch from Microsoft from this year, and I am sure Microsoft must already be investigating the source of the leak..

Please Digg this Story Here to Spread the Word.

While browsing the MSDN Forums today I found a strange looking thread that actually had the features that will make it into Windows Vienna and IE8. If you are wondering why I was at the MSDN forums, it is because Microsoft has been taking me for a ride in the Student Rockstar Contest and I constantly monitor the MSDN Network for any news.

Unfortunately Microsoft has locked the thread and deleted all the contents of it. But I somehow managed to read the contents of it and here are the features that are expected to make it into the upcoming Windows and Internet Explorer. Reading the blueprints gives you an Idea what Microsoft really is thinking about its competition. Microsoft is well aware of the challenge it faces from Linux and Firefox and they plan to incorporate features from the two families into the upcoming versions of IE8 and Windows Vienna..

Here is the leaked features list :

For IE : Undo Close Tab (like Firefox)

For IE : Saving and Restoring sessions (like Firefox)

Windows Vienna : Virtual Desktops (like Linux)

Windows Vienna : The Ability to Rearrange items on the task bar

Also included in the post at forums says that Windows Vienna’s theming will be completely customizable and will forever change the way People look at Windows. The most interesting thing about the new version of Windows would be virtualization that will be prominent for “legacy apps”, i.e. all applications not specifically written for Window Vienna or in .NET will be run in a separate virtual machine. This is comparable to how Mac OS X handled Mac OS 9. Windows Vienna will also feature “Windows Core”, the ability to separate GUI and console from each other as in Windows Server 2008.

Expect to see “Windows Vienna” on store shelves some time in 2009. The final name, however, has not been revealed in the forum post.

Here are the links to the leaked threads….
