I am sure you have all heard of Flickr, Amazon, eBay etc. These sites are extremely famous in their own niche but they do have limitations. What if you wanted to search the vast repository of data stored on these services. If you are a Flickr Addict like me then look no further than FlickrStorm. FlickrStorm is an enhanced version of the Flickr Search engine that allows us to do more with the search results than the standard Flickr Search Engine.

FlickrStorm is a better search for Flickr! It works by looking for more than what you enter to find related and more relevant images… Be suprised!

When you search for pictures on FlickrStorm a super cool AJAX interface brings up the search results. The interface allows you to directly download the pictures, keep track of pictures you’ve seen and ofcourse a very nice way of sharing photos with your friends is also thrown in. The Free and Open Source FlickrSync allows you to easily backp all your photos to Flickr. It allows you to assign folders which have images in it and then Syncs with the Flickr Server everytime a new photo is added to the folder. This makes sure every new image that you add to a folder gets added onto Flickr.

Here is a brief Rundown onto its features :

• Browse local folders and flickr sets and match your local folders to the corresponding flickr sets.
• Create new Sets when uploading new folders.
• Define flickr permissions for each folder and other synchronization options
• Preview all operations (including photo thumbnails) before applying them to flickr.
• Synchronize specific folders or all selected folders
• Synchronize all image information, including metadata like title and description, keywords/tags and even geo information.
