Firefox 3 to Resume Download Across Sessions
Firefox 3 the upcoming version of the popular Firefox web browser would include a new revamped Download manager that would allow us to download and resume downloads across multiple sessions. Till date no Browser’s Download Manager supports Resume over multiple sessions. So when the next Firefox comes out we will be able to download and resume files even after closing the browser. Speed Up Torrent Downloads in Windows Vista
I’ve noticed that BitTorrent downloads are not as fast on my friends PC as they were for me in XP. From what I could understand, this reduction in speed is due to difference in the AutoTuning function that Vista uses on the TCP/IP stack.But guess what the optimizer actually results in slower downloads. This affects BitTorrent and other programs that make use of threaded downloads.
