Here in India we get limited bandwidth limits that limits us to how much we can download in a month or so. This makes it mandatory to use the Internet in the Night because the night hours are free. I have always preferred the Download Manager of Firefox to download all my files. I keep downloading some huge files in the night so when the download finishes the Comp would be running thru the night for me to switch it off the next day.
But I don’t have to do it anymore. Today i discovered a wonderful extension for Firefox called Auto Shutdown that would shutdown the computer after all the downloads in Firefox have finished. This handy addon results in huge power savings for me over the month, so it goes on into my list of Favorite addons for Firefox.
I am sure you all upload emails containing attachtments all the time. You surely would hate selecting the location of the file using the browse option. Fear no more, Firefox finally has a hand y addon called DragDropUpload that allows to drag and drop files while uploading stuff.
As a special case, the addon also handles single and multiple attachments for Gmail. Just drag and drop your selection to the Attach a file link in the gmail compose screen and you are good to go. The screen capture below shows how it works.
