BusySync – Calendar Sharing for iCal

September 29, 2007  |  , , , ,  |  View Comments

BusySync lets you share iCal calendars with family and coworkers on a local area network without a dedicated server and with full read/write access.

How it works

BusySync is a Mac OS X System Preference Pane that runs in the background keeping your iCal calendars in sync with others on your network. It uses Apple Sync Services and Bonjour to automatically synchronize calendar data over a local area network.

Key features

  • Bonjour networking — BusySync automatically synchronizes calendars with others on your local area network. No dedicated servers or complicated network settings to configure. It just works.
  • Multi-user editing — BusySync allows multiple users to share and edit calendars with full read/write access. Changes made by one user are instantly synchronized with all others on the network.

FlyGestures – The Best Mouse Gestures So Far

September 27, 2007  |  , , , ,  |  View Comments

FlyGesture works a lot like Automator. You can create a single action, or chains of actions to be invoked by the simple movements of your mouse. Instant feedback so you know you are on the right track. Easy configuration to make your own actions. Yes I’m talking about the easiest way to use Mouse Gestures on OS X.

FlyGesture is activated like Exposé or Dashboard, bringing up a transparent window of “guides” to move your mouse through. Moving your mouse through the guides lets FlyGesture know what action or actions you want to be performed, such as closing a window or opening an application.
