Is CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER The New CTRL+ALT+DEL On Vista?
Windows Vista’s UAC can be overly frustrating at times. There are times when a program needs to be launched with administrator privileges from the start menu, and right clicking and clicking on “Run as Administrator” just doesn’t cut it when you are in a hurry and need to get something to be done in a hurry. For example, to open Command Prompt as administrator, click Start, type cmd in the Search box and press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER. You should see the User Account Control window popping up for task elevation confirmation. Press... Read The Rest →

In a nutshell Adobe Media Player is a slick desktop app built on Adobe AIR, that allows you to watch streaming and download videos from site like Revision3, BlipTV, MTV etc.. Pretty similar to what Miro already does in my opinion. Adobe Media Player has the slickest interface I’ve probably... Read The Rest →

Looks like the browser wars are on again in full force. At the moment the latest builds of Webkit and an internal build of Opera have managed to score a full 100/100 in Acid3 test. The Webkit team has pushed itself hard to defeat Acid3 and have released a public nightly build that passes the test.It was Opera that achieved the perfect 100 first but Webkit followed up nicely helping fixing some bugs in Acid3.
Hack Attack : Run Linux Apps Natively On Windows, OSX
Linux has always been the operating system of the geeks and nerds. For some reason Linux has never been able to capture the market like Windows and OS X have managed to do. The main reason for this has been the so called unfriendliness of the Linux OS. But things are changing now with distros like Ubuntu etc.. For over 15 years now Linux users have been using Wine to run Windows Applications and Softwares natively. With Wine 1.0 scheduled for a early June release things are looking better for... A Landmark Event. In More Ways Than One – WWDC 2008
Apple today sent out the invitations for WWDC 2008 the annual Developer Conference. As always Apple has come out with excellent promo material. The tagline reads “WWDC 2008 – A Landmark Event. In More Ways Than One“. The invitation also included the picture above that’s two Golden Gate bridges converging or diverging depending on the way you look at it.. I’m not quite sure what the image and the tagline really means, but here are a few educated guesses :
