About
The Present:
DailyApps.net is run by “Jack” – a student from the UK.
Currently studying for his GCSE’s – and with future plans of going to Sixth form – Jack runs DailyApps.net in his spare time and at weekends.
The Past:
On July 26th 2007 – Karthik Kastury, a 22 year old Engineering graduate from Chennai, Tamilnadu, India, started DailyApps.net – over the years Karthik turned DailyApps.net into a very popular site – providing readers with a regular dosage of tips, cool software reviews, and apps that make life easier.

The old site design
As India’s leading technology blog, DailyApps.net was generating close to 350,000 Pageviews a month. It was popular on social sites such as Del.icio.us and Stumbleupon, and at one point even hit the front page of Digg.
Unfortunately, once Karthik Kastury became a full time software engineer at TCS, lack of time, and a lack of fresh posts, let the site dip in popularity. Karthik decided it was time to sell the site.
On 30th May 2012 the site sold – The intention was to change DailyApps.net from a technology site into one that focused more on “APPS” – offering reviews on Apps for all devices. However, with other projects taking longer than predicted DailyApps.net was put on hold. The site was left for a year, with no new content, and attracting 1000’s of spam comments.
It was by coincidence that DailyApps.net got another chance to recover…
At a family get-together – Jack was telling his family how he was planning on doing reviews on Facebook of the Apps he downloaded for his iPhone. His plan was to share his opinions with his friends, but why spend the time writing reviews for just a small group of people? Jack was offered the job of being the administrator of DailyApps.net. This would let him do his reviews, with the possibility that the whole world could see them. Hopefully now someone has the time and motivation to make the site popular again.
