The future of computing is here. First we saw the iPhone that took Touch sensitive Mobile Phones to the masses and revolutionized the world of Mobile communication. The area of Multi touch devices is fast developing and the Microsoft Surface PC that was launched sometime back in retail AT&T Stores is just another example, how fascinating multi touch really is.
I’ve been looking for photos of Microsoft Surface in action and thanks Long Zheng I found this Flickr Set uploaded by a Microsoft Employee Jean-Luc David containing photos of applications running on Surface.

Virtual Earth on the Surface.
A puzzle game called ScatterPuzzle. Nice way to Kill time.
Ghosts, an adoption of a puzzle game where the objective is to move objects so lines do not cross each other.
The music player. Neat Implementation IMHO!

Surely Microsoft seems to be doing an amazing job with Microsoft Surface. Who knew you could have so much fun over a coffee table?

Although MS Surface has taken time to come out to public , I think this is one of the best products by Microsoft so far. But we need to wait and watch how other products like credit cards and cell phones sync with this, because thats what Microsoft says is the specialty of the product- transferring data from cellphones easily to it and using credit cards with it.

Looks nice enough but judging on MS’s many past efforts to copy Apple it will disappoint in the usability area.

Microsoft Surface is one of the most innovative products to come out of Microsoft camps in a very long long time. I think it has a lot of potential and can truly tell us about the future of computing..

@Mehtar: Apple began innovating with multitouch interfaces such as the iPhone after Surface was first shown off. It could be said that Apple copied Microsoft, but Microsoft has way more time and innovation into Surface and that blows the iPhone out of the water.
