A Landmark Event. In More Ways Than One – WWDC 2008

Apple today sent out the invitations for WWDC 2008 the annual Developer Conference. As always Apple has come out with excellent promo material. The tagline reads “WWDC 2008 – A Landmark Event. In More Ways Than One“.
The invitation also included the picture above that’s two Golden Gate bridges converging or diverging depending on the way you look at it.. I’m not quite sure what the image and the tagline really means, but here are a few educated guesses :
-
The launch of the iPhone SDK (Pretty sure that this will happen).
-
Location aware features in the iPhone and OSX.
-
A release of an SDK for the Apple TV (I don’t think that this will happen)
-
3G iPhone
-
Release of a top secret Apple Product!
Other than this I’m not sure what will turn up for the WWDC 2008. Traditionally we don’t see new Macs during WWDC, but we might hear a little bit more about the successor to Leopard.
What do you guys think we will see in WWDC 2008 that begins on June 9th and goes on till the 13th.

I realize that I am not going to expect this on this go around but I think in a few years we will see a Mac OSX Smartphone running a skimmed down version of Mac OSX that is very similar towards a Blackberry, or other form of smartphone. As well, I think we can also see in the few years a head a Mac Tablet Notebook, as well as further connectivity with Mac's portable products and the more stationary objects such as Bluetooth, as well as further advancements with the current line of iPods, such as PDF Reader, built in cameras, and more unique versions of connectivity between all lines of products.

[...] all chances I believe that Apple will unveil the 3G version of the iPhone during this years WWDC. But if you can’t wait till June 9th, here are spicy bits for you to feast [...]
[...] I don’t think too much can be read into the invitation here as it was certainly more about the entire WWDC event rather than just the keynote. I just liked the way the imagery used mirrored the keynote, whether it was intentional or not. Image Source. [...]
