Hi there Readers. I usually don’t post personal stuff on dailyApps, but right now am looking a personal favor from one of the readers of this blog. Well If you are wondering what kind of help am seeking, then read on.
Ever since the launch of the Apple iPhone, I have been dying to get my hands on the iPhone. Finally I believe now is the right time for me to buy an iPhone, because it has come of age. I currently reside in India, so I naturally can’t buy the iPhone from here. I would like one of the readers of this blog to buy me an iPhone from the US and ship it to me here in India.
The reason I want to get the iPhone is simply because of the imminent SDK release, so that I could test and play with Official 3rd party apps.
If anyone of you is interested please contact me via the contact form or drop a comment on this post. I can pay by Paypal, and I would cover all the costs involved in the purchase, including shipping costs obviously.
Now back to usual blogging on dailyApps

Karthik, you get it here as well. If you live in Mumbai, Heera Panna is the place to go. I know a friend of mine who has bought one and it works flawlessly. If you want I could get you the particulars.

@Rahul, Thanks for the info. Can you get me the details of the 8GB model for me. And I don’t stay in Mumbai, so I’ll need someone from Mumbai.

Also, be weary of customs. I recieved my ipod in pretty battered shape when i got it and was quite lucky customs didn’t flick it. Also there’ll be an extra 2000 rupees levied on it.

Yes Customs is a big problem. I was wondering what the other ways are for getting the iPhone from the US. It is a lot cheaper to get it from there. Any other suggestions?

The iphone nirvana site lists it at 28990 !! It would be so much cheaper if you could source it from the states somehow. I seriously think it is not worth that much cash when even my HTC S710 performs the same functions at half the price.Plus the HTC is a WM6 phone. Only thing missing is the coolness factor and obviously the touch screen. Although the HTC touch is said to be really good.

Yeah the iPhone Nirvana guys have the iPhone priced rather expensively. Getting it shipped from the US seems to be the most viable option. Can someone elaborate on the customs procedure.

Hey, I think it’s better to wait. I have an inside source who works at Reliance iStore. iPhone will be here at somewhere around mid-October. It will be locked to AirTel, but I guess, that’s OK.

Checkout tnerd.com. Its a site that one of my frend has. He mentioned a few weeks back on where all you can get an iphone in india.

@Thilak, Waiting till October doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. I am still trying to work out the details as to how I plan to get the iPhone.
@Nikhil, Do you know anyone who is coming to India in the next couple of weeks. They could easily get the iPhone from the US
