The GMail crew seems to be working hard these days, ever since the launch of GMail 2.0. GMail has finally given us one of the most important features we’ve been waiting for quite long and that is Colored Labels. Well Labels was a great feature GMail already had, to help us organize our inbox, but these Colored Labels, help us easily spot out the message we’re looking for. A Screenshot below, shows the colored labels feature in action.

You can now set a different color for each label so you can identify messages easier. Not all Gmail accounts have the new feature, but it will probably be enabled for everyone soon (Mine is yet to come!).

Another addition to GMail today was AIM Integration into the built in chat Module in GMail. You can now chat with all your AIM buddies right from your GMail account. To check to see if you have a lucky account (I’m sure they’ll be rolling this out to all users soon) logout, then log back into your account and click on Settings, from there visit the Chat tab and look at the bottom of the list for the section named AIM. Sign in, and your ready to go. You should see something like this :

The addition of these two features, surely makes GMail all the more fun to use and productive. I love the way GMail innovates! What you do you think about the new features? Are you going to use them?
