Here in India we get limited bandwidth limits that limits us to how much we can download in a month or so. This makes it mandatory to use the Internet in the Night because the night hours are free. I have always preferred the Download Manager of Firefox to download all my files. I keep downloading some huge files in the night so when the download finishes the Comp would be running thru the night for me to switch it off the next day.
But I don’t have to do it anymore. Today i discovered a wonderful extension for Firefox called Auto Shutdown that would shutdown the computer after all the downloads in Firefox have finished. This handy addon results in huge power savings for me over the month, so it goes on into my list of Favorite addons for Firefox.
Once activated the addon waits for all the downloads to finish and then it gives a 1 minute countodown before it shuts down so that you can cancel the shutdown anytime you wish. Therefore I really am happy because overnight downloads with Firefox just became more easier.
